Here at Fishbox HQ we're looking forward to Mother's Day coming up on the 26th March, so we've asked a couple of our favourite Scottish bloggers what they'll be cooking their mums and grandmas for the big day.
From Scottish classics to family favourites, here are their fin-tastic recipes - all made using our fresh, Scottish fish.

Smoked Haddock and Scallop Chowder
Graeme says: For Mothers Day I’d cook my Mum something quintessentially Scottish, but add a bit of a twist. I can remember her cooking us chowder with smoked haddock, potatoes, and corn.
To make this special I’m adding scallops and also hot smoked paprika, feel free to use the sweet version if you’d prefer the flavour without the piquancy.
If I’d been cooking for my Gran in days gone by then it would’ve been something simple, warming, and wholesome, as all the meals she cooked me were.
Some of my earliest food memories are of her ‘wee patties’, normally made with leftover tatties and tuna or tinned salmon, a typically thrifty Glasgow meal.
For this dish I’ve gone for my favourite fish, sea trout, in place of the tinned salmon but still bringing all those memories to life.

Langoustines with Sweet Potato Linguine
Sophie says: For Mother's Day I'll be revisiting a classic family favourite with langoustine linguine.
To make it a bit special I've added in some scallops, and I've also replaced egg pasta with summer-y sweet potatoes cooked in white wine as a little salutation to the coming spring!
